Cenozoic Era
Our next and for now last time period is the Cenozoic Era. The Cenozoic Era is nicknamed “The age of Mammals” and the Era we live in started 65 MYA (Million Years Ago). Our era in the present day has a climate that consists of 4 seasons. In the northern parts of the United States Of America, We have Winters that are far from mild. In the summer the temperature can get up to 100 Degrees Fahrenheit! In the fall it can be warm and cold and is usually 40-65 Degrees Fahrenheit. And in the spring the temperature is normally around 60-75 Degrees Fahrenheit. The continents are and were at the beginning of the era the same as now. The Earth’s major landforms have not changed much but, some more mountains and deep ocean trenches decided to show up.
The majors changes we saw to life are Modern Humans evolving from Apes, most giant birds died out. This era hasn’t ended yet.
